Peterborough Players’ Ground Breaking
To Build On-Campus Housing for Actors and Interns
Peterborough, NH (October 22, 2012) – The Peterborough Players officially broke ground last month to build on-campus housing for its actors and interns. Those attending the lively ceremony on a beautiful late September morning were board and staff members, interns, architects, builders, and friends including comedian, Janie Condon, whose show Janie Condon: Raw & Unchained was the final production of the Players’ 2012 theatre season.
Building is well underway and proceeding smoothly. A new well has been dug, and construction crews and equipment have completed the foundations for six cottages and a separate community building where people can congregate for meetings or casual dining. The cottages will house a total of 24 people.
Richard Monahon Architects of Peterborough drew up the plans for the on-campus housing project, and Ingram Construction of Swanzey is the construction manager. Building will be completed next spring in time for the arrival of interns, actors, and other summer staff
2013 will mark the Peterborough Players 80th season.
