Peterborough Players Wins 8 NH Theatre Awards
Measure for Measure Takes Home Best Production

Peterborough, NH (February 8, 2012) – The Peterborough Players took home several awards at the 10th annual New Hampshire Theatre Awards ceremony held on February 3rd at Manchester’s Palace Theatre. They were nominated in ten categories and won in eight. Measure for Measure garnered six best drama awards for production, actress, scenic design, costume design, lighting design, and sound design; and two best drama awards for Ancestral Voices in the categories of direction and supporting actress.

The winners’ names are Gus Kaikkonen, Best Director/Drama for Ancestral Voices; Sevanne Martin, Best Supporting Actress/Drama for Ancestral Voices; and the following for Measure for Measure: Karen Peakes, Best Actress/Drama; Charlie Morgan, Best Scenic Design; Lara de Brujin, Best Costume Design; John Eckert, Best Lighting Design; and Kevin Frazier, Best Sound Design. Measure for Measure also took home the coveted award of Best Production.

The Peterborough Players was also nominated for Best Actor/Drama and Best Supporting Actor/Drama.
